Still time to register for some Northern Kentucky University School of the Arts programs


Northern Kentucky University’s School of the Arts (SOTA) offers its annual summer programs for students in grade three through 12 throughout June and July.

SOTA’s summer program offer six camps that include workshops covering music, dance, theatre and art. SOTA’s summer camps are part of its Music Preparatory Program. Music Prep provides community and continuing education programs of the highest quality to students of all ages and abilities.

The program strives to enrich the culture of the Greater Cincinnati and northern-Kentucky regions through engaging artistic experiences and outreach initiatives.

“Students from all ages are invited to explore their creativity in one of our summer programs,” said Dr. Holly Attar, Music Preparatory director. “We are proud to be leading the next generation of artistic talent across the region.”

Registration is still available for SOTA’s summer programs. The 2019 programs include:

•Strings Summer Camp, June 17-21

•Chamber Strings Summer Workshop, June 17-21

•Summer Adult String Orchestra, Every Monday during June and July

Music Prep also recently announced the early childhood programs beginning in the fall. Children from toddlers to age nine will be introduced to music, dance and learning. The four early childhood programs include Toddler and Me, Arts for Tots, String Sprouts and Piano Power.
