NKU men’s basketball adds versatile shooting guard Adham Eleeda to roster for 2019-20 season

Adham Eleeda, a shooting guard from Sheridan College in Wyoming, has signed to play for the Northern Kentucky University men’s basketball team, head coach Darrin Horn announced Tuesday.

“Adham adds a proven shot maker and, in addition, he brings good size and length,” said Horn. “His 129 total 3-point makes and high shooting percentage is impressive. He has a tremendous work ethic and was a part of a winning team at Sheridan. His versatility and experience should allow him to impact immediately.”

Eleeda earned 29 starts across 33 games played as the Generals went 31-4 overall last season. The 6-foot-5 sophomore averaged 13.3 points behind 41.9 percent field-goal shooting and 40.8 percent 3-point shooting. He also made 78 percent of his attempts at the charity stripe.

Eleeda posted 22 double-digit scoring efforts, including six efforts with at least 20 points in the scoring column. He poured in a career-high 30 points during a victory over Western Wyoming in which he buried 10 3-point field goals.

That outing was one of 11 games in which the sharpshooter made at least five 3-pointers, and one of four contests that he made at least eight treys. His 129 made 3-pointers ranked third nationally in NJCAA Division I.

As Sheridan’s leading scorer, Eleeda led the Generals to a Region IX runner-up and the No. 13 seed in the NJCAA National Championship.

Eleeda played at Trinity Valley Community College as a freshman, competing in eight games on a team that went 28-5 on the season. He is a native of Toronto, where he played prep basketball at the Toronto Basketball Academy.
