The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce (NKY Chamber) is celebrating 40 years of Leadership Northern Kentucky (Leadership NKY) with a new class of 52 professionals from businesses and organizations around Northern Kentucky and the Greater Cincinnati region.
Since its inception, 1,300 alumni have come together through the Leadership NKY program to make a difference in the community.
“The Class of 2020 will continue a 40-year tradition of making meaningful connections toward leadership development, community engagement, and regional investment,” said Laura Menge, Chair of the 2020 Class, and Philanthropic Advisor at the Greater Cincinnati Foundation. “We are excited to welcome and to work with these class members whom we believe will skillfully carry that legacy – and brilliantly forge their own.”
The Leadership NKY program utilizes the community as a classroom to help participants gain an understanding of the strengths and opportunities of the Northern Kentucky region and the skills necessary to motivate and engage others in collaborative efforts to address them. Participants undergo a substantive education by industry leaders across a diverse range of topics, including economic development, education, government, and human services.

“Leadership NKY is a unique and immersive leadership experience,” says Dawn Denham, Executive Director of the NKY Chamber Foundation and Leadership NKY. “Through monthly sessions, this new class will learn and grow together to become better equipped to support and solve pressing issues facing our region. This year’s class will unquestionably have a huge impact on our region and on one another.”
The Leadership NKY Class of 2020 program will kick off Friday, Aug. 2, in conjunction with the Leadership Northern Kentucky 40th Anniversary Alumni Luncheon. Hosted the at The Madison in Covington (700 Madison Ave.) the alumni-only event will bring past program participants back together to welcome the new class, reflect on the program, and to celebrate past class members being recognized with the Leadership NKY Ruth A. Eger Leaders of Distinction awards.
