Commonwealth Policy Center honors Rep. Joe Fischer with Friend of Life Award; event May 15

The Commonwealth Policy Center is honoring State Rep. Joe Fischer with its Friend of Life Award for sponsoring HB 148 — The Roe v. Wade Trigger bill in the 2019 General Assembly session. The bill specifically revives Kentucky’s pre-1973 abortion laws if the U.S. Supreme Court ever overturns Roe v Wade.

Fischer has served as District 68 representative to the state House of Representatives since 1999. He lives in Ft. Thomas.

“We agree with Rep. Fischer that Kentucky should assert its laws to protect the unborn if the question of abortion is ever returned to the states,” said CPC Executive Director Richard Nelson.

“That’s why we’re honoring him with our Friend of Life award. He’s truly a champion of life and someday future generations will thank him for restoring a culture of life to the commonwealth.”

The Kentucky General Assembly enacted four significant pro-life bills this past legislative session: the Roe v Wade Trigger Bill, Fetal Heartbeat Bill, Abortion Pill Reversal, and the Human Rights of the Unborn Act. All passed by large margins and all make Kentucky one of the safest places for unborn life.

The Friend of Life Award says “In appreciation for your dedication and service to restore the sanctity of life in the Commonwealth of Kentucky by sponsoring HB 148—The Roe v Wade Trigger Bill in the 2019 General Assembly session. We thank you for your service to the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Future generations are indebted to you.”

A press conference will be held at noon on Wednesday, May 15 at the Care Net Pregnancy Services of Northern Kentucky, 3700 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring.

Since he’s pro child I assume he’s also putting bills up to fund healthcare, including reproductive healthcare care, education, gun control, raising the minimum wage, and money towards KY cabinet of children’s services so these fetuses have a decent life right? Looking forward to seeing his progress on all of these – otherwise he’s pro birth, not pro life.
