Braxton Brewing Company to open Barrel House taproom and brewery in Fort Mitchell this fall

The Braxton Brewing Company has announced plans to open a brand new taproom and brewery, the Braxton Barrel House, in Fort Mitchell in the fall.

The Braxton Barrel House will include a Taproom with 20 taps as well as a 20,000 square foot storage facility for housing bourbon and other types of barrels for aging beer.

The new facility is designed to meld Braxton’s focus on craft beer innovation and its deep-seated Kentucky heritage.

This new space is dedicated to its passion for barrel-aged beer and the history that lies within the wood.

The Braxton Barrel House will allow more room to experiment with Dark Charge – its massive imperial stout released once a year, and to dive even deeper into the art of barrel aging than ever before.

With this in mind, the Braxton Barrel House is envisioned as a brand new barrel-aged environment that will engage beer fans in a way like never before.

Inspired by its own experimentation and work in aging beer in bourbon barrels, guests will have the opportunity to engage in custom private barrel picks – the first program of its kind in the U.S.

The Braxton Barrel House will also feature outdoor patio and deck areas for guests to enjoy barrel aged beer in the midst of a beautiful outdoor space.

“We’re looking forward to sharing the Braxton Barrel House with Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati-area beer and bourbon drinkers who love Kentucky’s culture as much as we do, said Jake Rouse, co-founder and CEO of Braxton Brewing. To our knowledge, this is the nation’s first dedicated private barrel program, and we’re so proud to open the doors to our newest location.”

Adding a third location allows Braxton the opportunity to craft fresh experiences for its customers, fans and the craft beer community as a whole.
