Fort Mitchell, Lakeside Park bring back Party in the Fort to kick off summer; May 18 at DCCH grounds

The Cities of Fort Mitchell and Lakeside Park are partnering this year to bring back Party in the Fort for a second year to kick-off summer. The event will be held on Saturday, May 18th, from 6-10:30 p.m., at the Diocesan Catholic Children’s Home (DCCH) grounds located at 75 Orphanage Road.

This family-friendly event will have activities and entertainment for all age groups along with food and drinks available for purchase.

“We are excited to partner with our neighbors in Lakeside Park to bring this event back again this year and are grateful for the support that our businesses have extended without which this event would not be possible,” said Mayor Jude Hehman.

This event is made possible due to the generous donations of many businesses. The main sponsor for this event is St. Elizabeth Healthcare.

“St. Elizabeth Healthcare is happy to partner once again with our friends in Ft. Mitchell and Lakeside Park on this community event,” said Stephanie Bogenschutz of St. Elizabeth Healthcare. “The festival will help facilitate more opportunities for residents to get involved in helping to make Northern Kentucky a healthier community.”

Silver sponsors include Bunches of Bows, Gustin Construction, Central Bank and Adams, Stepner, Woltermann and Dusing, PLLC. All food vendors from last year are back including Greyhound Tavern, Blue Grass Quality Meats, Little Flour Baked Goods, Graeter’s Ice Cream, Fr. Keyhoe Donuts and Colonial Cottage.

Drinks will be sold by Saddle Club, Bircus Brewing Company and Villa Hillbillies Moonshine.

Over 3000 people are expected to attend the event at which The Naked Karate Girls, a family friendly band, will be performing.

Other entertainment includes kids games, bingo, inflatables, and raffles.

The event’s proceeds will be donated to local community non-profits including Live Well Fort Mitchell and DCCH. For more information, contact the city at 859-331-1212.
