The first screening will be at AMC Newport on the Levee on Saturday, April 6 at 7:15 p.m., with the Q and A to follow.

On Sunday, April 7, screenings will be held at the AMC Easton Towne Center in Columbus at 3:30 p.m. with Q and A to follow, and the last will be at The Neon in Dayton, with showtime at 7:30 p.m. and Q and A afterward.

The film centers around the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County’s downtown branch and the moral dilemmas the library staff, police and prosecutors face when homeless men refuse to leave the building during a bitterly cold Cincinnati night.

“We are excited that Emilio is coming back to Ohio to promote his movie, a week after its Cincinnati screening,” said Kristen Schlotman, executive director of Film Cincinnati. “For those who were unable to attend the sold-out premiere, this is a great way to see “The Public” and to hear from the director himself about the making of the movie right here in Cincinnati.”

Tickets to the screenings and Q and A sessions at all three theatres are limited and can be purchased at www.ThePublicFilm.com.

“The Public” opened nationwide today.
