FRIDAY, MARCH 22

Race 1

FORERUN comes off a sharp score last out and has an excellent record at tonight’s distance of five furlongs. Look for him to make it two in a row in this one. EN HANSE just missed last out and drops back in for a tag this evening. He is definitely the one to beat. MOOOSE looks best of the rest.

Race 2

BURNT BLUFF has shown improvement in his last three races. He should get a good trip from the inside post and gets the nod in what looks like a very well matched field. THE PREDICTOR has the speed to make the lead and figures to be tough to catch. LAFLOWMYLAXBRO is always tough at this level and has to be respected.

Race 3

U S CITIZEN is a 10-year-old veteran who is still running well.  He comes off two runner-up efforts and posted a recent bullet work. Give him the edge with Prescott back aboard for Kim Hammond. MONDAY CONFESSION exits the same race as the top pick. He stopped badly in that one but is capable of much better and has the speed to be dangerous. PLAIN TALES is a contender.

Race 4

CARDIAC KITTEN looked good breaking his maiden in his debut but failed to fire last out. He has been gelded since that one and is capable of regaining his winning ways for Wes Ward with Franklin picking up the mount. CEDUNA has shown improvement in each of his three races since coming off a layoff. He will be tough if he continues to improve. LUCKY BODE threw in a clunker last out but had a solid work last week and has to be respected.

Race 5

COPUS is a 10-year-old who hasn’t won in quite a while but he hooks a weak field and should make the lead from the inside post. LIZZY’S LURE is the one to beat. NORTHERN EMPIRE rates a chance.

Race 6

MUSTANG CAT is a lightly raced 4-year-old who comes off a nice maiden win. He has been a consistent performer and can make it two in a row tonight. TOMAHAWK KITTEN has just one win in 18 starts but just missed in his last two and figures to run well again in this one. SUNDAY CLOTHES has been off for over a year. He is in the capable hands of Mike Maker but may need a race.

Race 7

TRUTH BE TOLLED showed big improvement in his second start back off a layoff for Jeff Greenhill. He led all the way in that one but is capable of rating just off the pace if necessary. Look for him to make it two in a row with Lezcano back aboard. HARD TO BE GOOD was never in contention last out in a race won by his entry mate. He is capable of much better and figures to show good speed from the inside post. GALTON is a solid contender in another solid allowance race.

Race 8

VIVA PER LEI just missed last out and appears to be in a good spot to get her maiden win for Murat Sancal with McKee up. QUICKASAKITTEN and PRICKLY KITTEN are both first-timers from the Ramsey barn. Either one is capable of running well tonight. CORONELA is a definite threat.
