A Covington woman died in an early-morning accident Sunday in Walton.
The Boone County Sheriff’s office has identified the woman as Jaliyah D. Jackson, 23.
Boone County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area of Walton Verona Road at Vest Lane at about 3:45 a.m. Sunday morning.
They located a white 2009 Saturn sedan that had traveled over an embankment and was partially overturned near a small creek. Deputies located Jackson, believed to be an occupant of the vehicle, who was ejected during the collision.
Lifesaving measures were attempted at the scene, but were unsuccessful. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Unit is handling the investigation.
Next of kin has been notified.
