Check out Newport Winter Carnival today, free family event by Historic Downtown Newport


Coordinated by Felicia and Greg Wilcher at Hickory Dickory Dock Retro Candy at 633 Monmouth Street, the first Newport Winter Carnival presented by Historic Downtown Newport will come alive today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 There will be magicians, fire-eaters, sword swallowers, face painters, balloon twisters, characters from Alice in Wonderland, and a special guest appearance by Hellboy himself.

Everyone is invited to stop down from 10-4.
 
Here is a current list of where street performers will be located along the 600 block of Monmouth for the Winter Carnival:

Fire Eater and Sword Swallower will be at Reser Bicycle Outfitters,

Shadow Puppet Theater will be at Costume Gallery,

Face Painters will be located outside of Urban Chic Boutique,

Balloon Twisters between Galaxie Skateshop and Arcadian Comics,

and Hell Boy will be outside of Arcadian Comics, with

Fracks Freak Show (magician/escape artist) outside of Hickory Dickory Dock.

Many of the shoppes are hosting Open Houses and specials as part of the Winter Carnival!
 
Family friendly event is free to attend and open to the public.
