INDIANAPOLIS — All of a sudden, IUPUI is arguably the hottest basketball team in the Horizon League. No one at Northern Kentucky University is going to argue with that point after what happened Friday night.

Camron Justice scored 26 points as IUPUI snapped NKU’s six-game winning streak with an 83-77 victory over the Norse at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. The Jaguars — who knocked off both Oakland and Detroit Mercy last week — improved to 14-9 overall, 6-4 in the Horizon League.

Jaylen Minnett added 18 points for IUPUI, which avenged an earlier 92-77 loss at NKU. The Jaguars rallied from a 25-15 deficit in the first half with a 28-5 run to gain a 43-30 lead and then held off a late Norse rally to collect the win.

Tyler Sharpe and Dantez Walton each scored 20 points for NKU, which dropped to 18-5 overall, 8-2 in the Horizon League. The Norse shot 50.9 percent from the field but allowed IUPUI to convert 51.8 percent of its attempts.

Evan Hall finished with 14 points and seven rebounds for IUPUI. The Jaguars won the rebounding battle by a 30-28 margin and were 17-for-22 at the free-throw line.

Drew McDonald added 14 points for NKU, which concludes the two-game swing on Sunday with a 4:12 p.m. contest at Illinois-Chicago.
