Staff Report

Comedy superstar, Jeff Dunham, is returning to Northern Kentucky with his cast of characters, PLUS TWO NEW CHARACTERS, to BB&T Arena in Highland Heights on January 13, as America’s favorite ventriloquist tours North America on his Passively Aggressive tour.

Vent Haven Museum

Dunham is a frequent visitor to NKY, having a deep affection for Vent Haven Museum long before he skyrocketed to international fame.

Vent Haven Museum, located in Fort Mitchell, is the only museum in the world dedicated to ventriloquism, a centuries-old performance art. It houses more than 900 dummies used by ventriloquists since the 19th Century. It was founded by businessman W.S. Berger who opened his extensive collection — dummies, puppets, photos, scripts, etc. — to the public in 1973.

The museum is currently conducting a capital campaign to construct a new, state of the art museum building to house its growing collection and provide a superior experience for visitors who come from around the world to see it.

He attended the very first Vent Haven conVENTion and nearly every one since then. His extensive exhibit draws tourists from around the globe.

His commitment to Vent Haven is evident in myriad ways, said the museum’s Anne Roberts. He is an active member of the Board of Advisors, donates his time by teaching other ventriloquists how to become better entertainers, restores figures for the museum and donated figures and ephemera, as well as funds, to support the Museum which is

Most recently he created a promotional video to Vent Haven for use in its Capital Campaign.

Dunham’s yet-to-be-seen characters, Rich and Happy the conjoined twins and Larry the Trump Advisor, will be introduced at the show.

Dubbed “America’s Favorite Comedian” by Slate.com, Dunham has entertained millions over the years with his popular puppet characters. With a YouTube channel viewed over a billion times, record-breaking comedy specials, a Guinness World Record for “Most Tickets Sold for a Stand-up Comedy Tour” and a New York Times’ Best Seller, the comedian has established himself as an entertainment powerhouse across all aspects of the entertainment industry.

Walter, one of Jeff Dunham’s ‘dummies’

After graduating from Baylor University, the Texas native moved to Los Angeles and soon became a sensation on the national comedy club circuit. He later conquered the comedy world by becoming a multi-platinum selling DVD artist and achieving record-breaking ratings on both cable and network TV. Dunham’s 2015 stand-up special Unhinged in Hollywood debuted on NBC primetime and ranked as the time period’s top non-sports program on the Big 4 in every key measure.

Hit autobiography, All By My Selves: Walter, Peanut, Achmed and Me, landed Dunham on the New York Times’ Best Seller list three weeks in a row.
