REDI Cincinnati names former Tri-ED exec Wade Williams as Vice President of Business Development

REDI Cincinnati has named Wade Williams Vice President of Business Development, effective immediately.

Williams will oversee the business development team and be responsible for developing and implementing REDI Cincinnati’s strategy for business attraction, including identifying opportunities for businesses to locate and grow in the Greater Cincinnati region.

The Regional Economic Development Initiative (REDI) Cincinnati is the first point-of-contact for companies locating or growing in the 15-county region at the heart of Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and Southeast Indiana. REDI is supported by top business leaders and community partners and staffed by a team of economic development experts who are uniting the Greater Cincinnati region to compete globally.

“Wade Williams has been a strong partner of REDI Cincinnati and a top economic developer for many years”, said Kimm Lauterbach, President/CEO of REDI Cincinnati. “I’m excited to bring his passion for the region to the REDI Cincinnati team.”

Williams previously served as Senior Vice President with the Northern Kentucky Tri-County Economic Development Corporation (Tri-ED), where he helped communities achieve their development goals by equipping growing companies with the resources necessary to thrive.

He managed a robust business retention and expansion program covering Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties, while overseeing efforts to market and attract new industries. Wade’s tenure saw corporate expansions at the Northern Kentucky facilities of Amazon, DHL, and Kroger, among others.

“I look forward to joining REDI Cincinnati and helping advance the core mission of uniting the region to compete globally”, said Wade Williams. “I’m pleased to join a world-class organization where I can continue to advocate for Greater Cincinnati as a top place to do business.”

Prior to his work with Tri-ED, Williams honed a mega-region approach to economic development in more than a decade spent managing business operations and complex real-estate acquisition projects within Duke Energy’s Ohio and Kentucky Office of the President.
