NKY Chamber to host international trip to Greece in November, 2019; meeting January 16

The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce (NKY Chamber) will host an international trip to Greece November 9 to 17, 2019.

Similar to its excursion to Tuscany in 2018, the fall trip will be available to both NKY Chamber members and future members.

“We are very excited about our next international travel opportunity to Greece,” said Gene Kirchner, Senior Vice President & COO, NKY Chamber.

“It’s a wonderful way to experience a different country and culture while networking with fellow Chamber members in total comfort. If the reviews from our recent Tuscany trip are any indication, Greece will be outstanding!”

Known as the land of gods and heroes, Greece is home to an extraordinary collection of archeological sites as well as stunning mountainous scenery and charming villages where a traditional way of life has remained unchanged for centuries. On this cultural journey, attendees will walk in the footsteps of Socrates on the Acropolis, examine artifacts of Athens’ Golden Age at the outstanding Acropolis Museum, sail through the scenic Corinth canal, and enjoy the insights of a local guest speaker on the contemporary Greek economic and social scene.

Destination highlights will include touring Athens’ Panathenaic Stadium (where the first modern Olympic Games were held) and visits to the Parthenon, the Acropolis Museum, and Hadrian’s Arch. In addition to Athens, the trip will include visits to the volcanic island of Santorini, the mountainside village of Arcadia, the coastal city of Corinth, and Delphi, Greece’s most breathtaking ancient site.

“Our unforgettable experience in Tuscany was magnified by excellent planning by the tour company, the wonderful new and deeper friendships, $5 value for every $1 spent and the ease of which they made international travel,” said Shelley Funke Frommeyer, FFR Wealth Team, and NKY Chamber Board Member.

There will be an information session at the NKY Chamber on January 16 at 5:30 p.m. in the St. Elizabeth Board Room for individuals who are interested in learning more. Lite bites and drinks will be provided.

If reserved by March 29, 2019, tickets for the nine-day, seven-night trip will be $2,899. After March 29 the price will go up to $2,999. The price includes hotels, meals, day trips and airfare from Cincinnati.

I have no objection to the NKY Chamber officials going to Greece but I do object to them ever coming back!
