Horizon Community Funds kicks-off first round of ‘Impact’ grants;’ $50,000 to be awarded


Horizon Community Funds of Northern Kentucky will award the first round of funding from its Community Impact Fund in 2019 and is seeking letters of intent to kick off the process.
 
“This is an exciting time for Horizon Community Funds. Our Community Impact Fund supports innovation, acceleration, and sustainable leveraging of resources to impact Northern Kentucky through our nonprofits,” reflects Nancy Grayson, President of Horizon Community Funds of Northern Kentucky.

Letters of intent are now being accepted online at the website.
 
“Horizon Community Funds was created to accelerate community progress throughout Northern Kentucky,” adds Horizon Community Funds grantmaking chair Jim Votruba. “We believe this first round of competitive grants will provide essential support for high impact programs. We are off and running on behalf of a brighter future for all!”
 
For the initial stage of the process, nonprofits are asked to describe their funding proposal, including: purpose, amount of funding requested, and desired impact. The letter length is limited to two pages and is due no later than 11:59 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2019. To be eligible, nonprofits must be serving one of the three counties of Boone, Campbell, or Kenton in Northern Kentucky.
