Children Inc. honoring Garren Colvin with Charity in Action Award at its Raising of the Green gala

On March 23, Children, Inc. will present Garren Colvin, President and CEO of St. Elizabeth Healthcare, with the 2019 Charity in Action Award at Raising of the Green, an annual gala to support the organization’s work with children and families in our community.

Colvin’s continued support for the Northern Kentucky region made him an easy choice for this recognition.

Shannon Starkey-Taylor, CEO of Children, Inc., said, “Garren and St. Elizabeth Healthcare have been amazing supporters of our organization, particularly our NaviGo College and Career Prep division. This continued support is improving the lives of middle and high school students in our region through innovative college and career coaching which gives students a plan for life after high school and builds our region’s workforce.”

“Supporting our community through safe, quality programming for children and promoting a stronger workforce has always been a priority for me and St. Elizabeth Healthcare. I am proud of the continued success of Children, Inc. programs and am honored to be recognized by this innovative, mission-driven organization” said Garren Colvin.

Each year, Children, Inc. serves thousands of children and families, prenatally through college and career, in high-quality educational programs.

This event, to be held at Paul Brown Stadium, supports the organization’s efforts to build a brighter future in Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati.

Tickets to Raising of the Green are limited, and last year’s event sold out. Ticket prices are $150 (gala and after-party) and $125(gala only).
