GameWorks, Inc., a full entertainment and dining experience with seven locations nationwide, has announced that its Newport location will be extending its hours, hosting several special events and offering various promotions to its guests this holiday season.
GameWorks Newport will be open Christmas Eve from 10 AM–5 PM, is closed on Christmas Day, and on New Year’s Eve, is open from 9:00 AM- 1:00 AM and New Year’s Day from 9:00 AM- 11:00 PM. Also, starting December 26, through and including January 1, 2019, GameWorks Newport will open two hours early daily, at 9:00 AM.
“As the only entertainment concept that offers an integrated entertainment experience by combining eSports, popular arcade and redemption games, exceptional prizes and a new Modern American restaurant, we are catering to guests of every age,” said Philip N. In addition to its extended holiday hours, throughout the season, GameWorks Newport is hosting several exciting special events:
*New Year’s Eve Family Pre-Party with Ball(oon) Drop
-On Monday, December 31, from 11 AM – 2:00 PM, they can join the fun at GameWorks Newport. There will be a special New Year’s Eve countdown with a real ball(oon) drop and New Year’s Eve favors at 2 PM.
-Character appearances: 11 AM – 2 PM
-Kid-friendly buffet and hot chocolate bar: 11:30 AM – 1:30 p.m.
-The event is geared toward families and kids age 12 and under) – Kids can party, too.

*New Year’s Eve Bash – ALL DAY December 31 until 1 AM
Party all day and night for $80 for up to 8 people (must be in group). Includes all-day game pass, bottle of champagne, party favors and the ball drop viewing on 8-foot projection screens at midnight. Reservations for private room will be accepted by calling 859-581-7529.
*The NEW Works Burger Challenge – The recently opened eclectic Modern American restaurant within the GameWorks Newport, The Works Kitchen at GameWorks, will host its inaugural Works Burger Challenge. The menu at The Works Kitchen at GameWorks features a signature Works burger, a grilled cheese-stuffed 1.5-pound double burger. Any guest who finishes the Works Burger, fries and a signature milkshake in 20 minutes or less is eligible for a free two-hour unlimited game card (excludes premium attractions and tickets, token, prize or photo games). The Challenge kicks off Friday, December 21.
