The 2019 class will be the County’s second class after a successful inaugural session last year.

The nine week Citizens Academy is an educational program with presentations each week on all of the operations of County government including tours of government facilities. The goal of this program is to educate the participants about each department and ultimately come away with a holistic understanding of all of county government operations.

Starting January 7, the weekly program will take place on Monday nights from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

There will be a graduation ceremony for all the participants who conclude the nine-week program. Those interested in attending should go to BooneCountyKY.org to fill out the online application.

The deadline to sign up is December 26, 2018.

Participant requirements to be considered: 18 years or older, a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation, a resident of Boone County or a business owner.
