The Carnegie will kick off the holiday season on Saturday with one-of-kind artisan market

On Saturday, The Carnegie is once again kicking off the holiday season with its one-of-a-kind artisan market.

Open from noon–5 p.m., The Carnegie’s Holiday Artisan Market will feature an array of activities for the whole family including children’s crafts, and holiday movies playing in the Otto M. Budig Theatre. Those looking to pick up gifts for loved ones can feel good supporting independent artmakers while purchasing unique items from area artists in the Ohio National Financial Services Main Gallery.

“The Artisan Market is one of our favorite events of the year,” said Maggie Perrino, Theatre Director at The Carnegie.

“It gives us a chance to share our beautiful building, support artists, and offer the public a unique shopping experience that gives back to the community. It’s really what the holiday season is all about.”

Among the artists participating in the Holiday Artisan Market include:

· Barbara Baxter – Pastel and watercolor art pieces as well as unique and vintage art objects
· Mary Effler – Handmade jewelry and ceramic ware
· Marian Paolo – Holiday décor and ornaments
· Deb Obermeyer – Hats, gloves, scarves, and other apparel made from Alpaca fiber derived from the alpacas on her farm
· Tami Seurkamp – Handmade greetings cards, jewelry, magnets, and keychains
· Holla Prochaska, The Glorious Ladies of Preservation – Paper goods such as wrapping paper and journals made from repurposed, marbled paper
· Ken Page – Cow paintings and cutouts
