Cathedral Concert Series continues on Sunday with a Veteran’s Day Tribute, visit by Cincinnati Brass Band


Cathedral Concert Series continues 43rd Season with a Veteran’s Day Tribute to service members on Sunday, Nov. 11, at 3 p.m.

The Cincinnati Brass Band makes their first visit to the Cathedral Concert Series and will present an inspirational program of brass band music in honor of our local area veterans

Included in this concert will be Samuel Barber’s Adagio for Strings, and Saints Bound for Heaven from the Southern Harmony hymnal.

Special guest, Jacob Strom, performs a piece he composed in tribute to military veterans.

Jon Noworyta is conductor of the Cincinnati Brass Band. Dr. Gregory Schaffer is principal organist and choirmaster at the Cathedral.

The Cathedral Grand organ will also be featured, and all in attendance will join in singing America the Beautiful, in tribute to those who serve and protect us.

Military Veterans in attendance are encouraged to wear their uniforms and be recognized, as we show appreciation for their service and sacrifice.

All Cathedral Concerts are open to the public with No Admission Charge, though a freewill offering will be accepted.
