Briefs: Eagan joins Regional Chamber, Governor appointments, SFL golf outing benefits Redwood


The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber announced that Kathleen (Katie) Eagan has been named its vice president of Government Affairs.

Eagan will work to strengthen the region’s competitiveness by identifying and advocating for innovative and smart policies related to economic development, talent, transportation, and inclusion while strategically connecting business leaders and policymakers.

Eagan comes to the Chamber from the Ohio Vision Professionals Board, where she served as executive director over the last two years.

Three NKyians appointed by Gov. Bevin

Gov. Matt Bevin has appointed three Northern Kentuckians to state boards.

John Paul Vincent, a Realtor from Dayton, has been appointed as a member of the Consumers’ Advisory Council for a term expiring Sept. 8, 2020.

Dino Lucarelli of Villa Hills, founder of Lucarelli Tactical Group, will represent members-at-large to the Kentucky Boxing and Wrestling Commission. His term will expire May 16, 2021.

Psychologist Dr. Jean A. Deters of Walton will represent licensed psychologists on the Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology, serving until May 19, 2019.

SFL golf outing benefits Redwood

SFL Companies held its 3rd Annual Charity Golf Outing at Devou Park Golf Course and raised $8,570 for the Redwood Rehabilitation Center of Northern Kentucky. SFL Companies is the former Service First Logistics.

The event raised money from ticket sales, raffle donations, sponsorships, and other contributions from local businesses and partners. Redwood is a non-profit located in Fort Mitchell that provides adults and children with multiple disabilities the opportunity to achieve independence and reach their highest potential.
