NKY Chamber hosts panel: PREVENT, RESPOND, and PREPARE your business and Hepatitis A

The latest data on Hepatitis A from the Northern Kentucky Health Department shows that Northern Kentucky is in the midst of an outbreak continuing throughout Kentucky and the Greater Cincinnati Region. While it is spreading among certain groups faster than others, everyone needs to be prepared.

On Wednesday, October 24 the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce (NKY Chamber) will host a special event aimed at preventing, preparing, and responding to Hepatitis A. The presentation will be held from 3–5 p.m. at the NKY Chamber’s regional partner and site sponsor for the event, Hilton Cincinnati Airport (7373 Turfway Road, Florence).

Presenters include:

  • Dr. Lynn Saddler and Steve Divine from the NKY Health Department, who will provide an overview of the regional outbreak and how to prevent it from spreading;
  • Pat Crowley, from Strategic Advisors, LLC, who will examine different ways to respond to a Hepatitis A occurrence in businesses from a public relations viewpoint; and
  • Shannon Wortman, from Focus Insurance and Risk Management, who will help businesses prepare for financial stresses and review what’s covered as well as what’s not.

“This region has seen in increase in Hepatitis A cases,” said Debby Shipp, Vice President of Business Growth and International Trade. “This event comes at the perfect time to help businesses in any industry prepare for an outbreak.”

Registration for PREVENT, RESPOND, and PREPARE! Your Business and Hepatitis A is $20 for NKY Chamber members, $15 for NKYP passport holders, and $30 for future NKY Chamber members, and is available online at www.nkychamber.com/events.
