Center for Great Neighborhoods looking for nomination for awards honoring community Leaders


Nominations are open — and due by October 15 — for community and business leaders to be honored at the Center for Great Neighborhoods’ annual event.

On November 3 from 4-6 p.m. at the Hellmann Creative Center, The Center for Great Neighborhoods (The Center) will honor local community and business leaders during the organization’s Annual Celebration. It is open to the public.

The free event will include a look back at The Center’s accomplishments in 2018 and will feature food by the first graduates of The Center’s FreshLo Chef Fellowship program.

Nominations are now being accepted for the following awards to be presented at the event:

Heart of the Community Award
Presented annually by The Center to recognize Covington resident volunteers who have made significant contributions to their community.

Key to the Future Award
Presented annually by The Center for Great Neighborhoods to recognize Covington youth who are outstanding leaders and devoted to their community.

Additional awards presented that evening include:

Great Neighbor Award
Recognized for their dedication to The Center and the people of Covington, an organization will receive the Great Neighbor Award.

Covington Great Business Award
Recognized for their support to The Center and the economic health of Covington, local businesses will receive the Covington Great Business Award.

Nominations are due Monday, October 15. More information about the Annual Celebration is available online.
