Northern Kentucky Chamber to host Workplace Safety and Wellness Conference at SETEC

The Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce (NKY Chamber) will host Workforce Strategies 2018 Workplace Safety and Wellness Conference on Monday, Oct. 1.

The event will take place at the St. Elizabeth Healthcare Training and Education Center (3861 Olympic Blvd, Erlanger.).

The conference, which runs from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., will include panel discussions, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities with a variety of experts in occupational health, wellness, and safety.

The day is designed for safety managers, wellness coordinators, human resource team members, organizational leaders, and decision-makers to learn about important topics including key trends in occupational safety and health, wellness in the workplace, and emerging concerns such as active shooter preparedness and the opioid epidemic.

Heidi Hudson from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) will talk about “Total Worker Health” over lunch, and Amanda Peters from the NKY Office of Drug Control Policy will speak on “Drugs at Work: What Employers Need to Know about Substance Use Disorders” to end the day.
