“My first office had a table, chair, and telephone when I hung out my shingle in 1973,” remembers Anneken, “Professional ethics in those days prohibited any advertising or solicitations, so all new business was by referral only. I learned how important it is to make and maintain strong relationships.”

Partners Lisa Huey and Kevin Moser joined Anneken in 1979 and 1985 respectively and continue the focus on building strong client relations and growing their accounting services.

Moser credits the “three P’s” as keys to the success of the firm. “We provide prompt, proactive and personalized service to our clients. In a more and more technological world, this is still a people business. We act in our client’s best interests.”

Adds partner Lisa Huey, “We work hard to educate and advise our clients on the best ways of moving their business forward. Honesty, trust, and integrity, plus staying nimble in these evolving times, continue to be integral to the success and growth of Anneken, Huey and Moser.”

The firm offers traditional services including tax preparation, audits reviews and compilations. Other services include business and strategic planning, tax coaching to stop wasting tax dollars, Quickbooks® services, and turnkey payroll.

“I truly appreciate the opportunity to serve on the Board,” Smith said. “I have been a lifelong Library user and lifelong resident of Campbell County. Both for my own pursuits and my family’s interests, the Library has been a valuable community resource. I’m glad to be a part of something so important to so many people.”

Members of the Library’s board of trustees are appointed to serve four-year terms. Smith is eligible to serve two full terms.

By law, the board must maintain a balanced geographical representation of all areas of the county. In keeping with the law, applicants who lived in Alexandria or the southern Campbell County area were considered for this volunteer, non-paid position.

Other board members are: Cathy Howard, president; Carla Landon, vice president; Paul Johnson, treasurer; and Christie Fillhardt, secretary.
