Health Innovation Collaboration to receive Unity Award at NKY Chamber Annual dinner Sept. 20

The Northern Kentucky Chamber’s Unity Award is presented to an individual or individuals who have shown leadership in bringing Northern Kentuckians together to address and solve common challenges and issues and has shown leadership in seeking regional solutions to Northern Kentucky challenges.

The award is sponsored by PNC Bank.

One of the most critical barriers to improved health and wellness in Northern Kentucky is the shortage of physicians serving the region.

In partnership with Northern Kentucky University (NKU) and St. Elizabeth Healthcare, the UK College of Medicine is establishing a four-year medical degree program committed to excellence in medical education.

Classes will be held on NKU’s campus in Highland Heights, and clinicals will take place at St. Elizabeth Healthcare’s Edgewood campus.

Together, these three institutions are transforming health science education to better equip, empower, and most importantly, inspire and prepare the health care workers of tomorrow.

This joint collaboration will impact the local community and region through the attraction of top students to our area, the success and retention of physician graduates, and improved access to quality health care overall.

Join the Northern Kentucky Chamber for its Annual Dinner on Thursday, September 20 at the NKY Convention Center from 5-8:30 p.m. Annual Dinner, presented by Fifth Third Bank, recognizes community and business leaders who are making a lasting impact on our region.

The event will highlight the strides the Chamber has made in the last year and look forward to accomplishments in the year ahead.

Registration for Annual Dinner is available online at this website.
