Dougherty is third in the MSC in punting average (43.3) and has made 11 extra points in two games. This is his first weekly conference honor this season and fourth of his career.

A year ago, Dougherty converted nine of his 10 field goals, with a long of 48 yards. He was 63-for-72 in extra-point attempts and finished No. 2 on the team in scoring with 90 points. Dougherty earned first-team All-Mid-South Conference Bluegrass Division honors for his performance in 2017.

Going into this weekend, Dougherty has accounted for 185 career points and converted 78.9 percent of his field goals. He has also made 89.7 percent of his extra-point attempts.

Lindsey Wilson is 2-0 and ranked No. 4 nationally in the NAIA poll. The Blue Raiders play host to Pikeville this Saturday night.
