Brian Miller, Executive Vice President of the Building Industry Association Northern Kentucky, recently received the Gary Komarow Executive Officer of the Year Award from the Executive Officers Council (EOC) of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) at its Association Management Conference in Los Angeles.

The council represents the staff executives who manage more than 700 state and local builders associations that comprise the National Association of Home Builders federation.

“We are proud to honor Brian Miller as the NAHB Executive Officer’s Council Executive Officer of the Year,” said Eric Person, president of the Executive Officers Council and CEO of the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Central Connecticut. “Brian’s leadership in Northern Kentucky is extraordinary, but just as important is his dedication to helping his peers develop their programs. Brian exemplifies everything the Gary Komarow award represents.”

The Gary Komarow Award named after NAHB’s former Chief Legal Counsel, is presented to an executive officer whose accomplishments and achievements have gone over and beyond promoting the goals of the EOC and assisting the advancement of fellow executive officers.

The mission of the Building Industry Association of Northern Kentucky is to promote and enhance the integrity and visibility of the construction industry and the members of the organization through advocacy, communication, education and political action.

Covington-based CTS Packaging to join Graphic Village companies

Covington-based CTS Packaging, a full-line folding carton manufacturer, will join the Graphic Village family of companies, effective October 1.

Blue Ash-based Graphic Village is Greater Cincinnati’s largest independent print marketing company.

“CTS and GV have been strategic partners for five years,” said Eric Kahn, CEO of Graphic Village. “This is the next logical step in our relationship. By being together under one roof, we will be able to meet all of our clients’ packaging and other print marketing needs more effectively than ever. We are thrilled that Mark O’Bryan, president of CTS for the past eight years, will be staying on as a partner with Graphic Village and president of our new packaging division.”

CTS, a 60-year-old company, provides custom and stock packaging services to a wide range of customers. It will move to Graphic Village’s new print marketing shop this fall.

“Graphic Village offers cutting-edge printing and embellishment technologies, capabilities, convenience and efficiencies not found anywhere else in Greater Cincinnati,” said O’Bryan. “We are excited to be able to offer these to our valued packaging customers. They can also look forward to faster and more responsive customer service, faster turnaround times, greater cost-effectiveness and even higher-quality packaging services.”

Graphic Village has experienced tremendous growth in recent years, both organically and through strategic acquisitions, allowing it to deepen its relationships with existing clients and expand its portfolio of services. When the acquisition of CTS is complete, it will have some 250 employees, including approximately 30 from CTS.

“Our acquisition of CTS moves us closer to our goal of serving all of our clients’ print marketing needs conveniently, efficiently and cost-effectively,” said Larry Kuhlman, president of Graphic Village.
