Tickets are available at www.BeyondtheCurb.org.

Here’s what’s in store for tour-goers in Dayton.

Dayton is a charming town of about 5,000 people. It offers many housing options, including mansions on the river and on the hill above the town, lovely historic homes along 6th Avenue and apartments in an old school or in a new building being constructed on the river. Dayton’s great schools and parks appeal to families and the interesting mix of restaurants welcome foodies from all over the region. Come explore Dayton!

The Dayton properties featured on the tour include:

Trotta’s Steak and Seafood, 441 6th Avenue

Offering a nostalgic supper club dining experience, this award-winning restaurant is housed in an old bank. Patrons can even reserve their private table in the original vault!

335 6th Avenue

Built in 1910, this home is a four-square style, which is unusual for the neighborhood. After tweaking the floorplan a bit, the owners have created a lovely, welcoming home. Be sure to check out the stove in the kitchen, which was used to heat the owner’s childhood home, as well as the cozy 3rd floor guest room, which sleeps six.

330 6th Avenue

The owners of this farmhouse are creative people who have renovated this home to reflect their very personal style. Every room has interesting details, cool lighting and original art. Some things not to be missed are the ingenious staircase that leads to the loft game room and the rare appliance combination of stove and refrigerator in the guest suite.

323 6th Avenue

This gracious home has many original details, along with a new kitchen and family room addition that give the owners the best of both worlds: modern convenience and old-world charm.

The Lodge, 231 6th Avenue

The exterior of this former Masonic lodge looks very prim and proper. But inside, it’s 100% art and rock ‘n roll. Part of the building is used as studio and gallery space for visual artists. The rest is devoted to music, with a 3,000 sq ft performance space that doubles as the largest sound-proofed recording studio in the region. There is also a second fully-equipped music recording studio on the top floor. Filled with art and quirky accessories, this is a completely unexpected — and very cool — asset for Dayton.
