Daniel Goff, Revolutionary War Veteran, Memorial Marker Dedication
Saturday, September 29
Free shuttle service, 1 p.m. Dedication ceremony, 2 p.m.
Daniel Goff, Boone County’s only African American Revolutionary War Veteran, will be recognized for his service with a memorial marker. Pvt. Goff survived the brutal winter encampment at Valley Forge and fought at the Battle of Monmouth with General George Washington and Marquis de Lafayette. Free shuttle service to and from dedication site will be located at the Florence Baptist Church, 642 Mt. Zion Road in Florence, beginning at 1 p.m. No parking at the dedication site. Please register.
