Take a free supermarket tour with focus on diabetes by NKY Health Dept., Diabetes Coalition


The Northern Kentucky Health Department and the Northern Kentucky Diabetes Coalition will host two free supermarket tours to educate people with diabetes, those at risk of diabetes and their family and friends about healthy shopping tips.

Tour #1
Cold Spring Meijer

6:30 – 8:30 p.m., Thursday, September 27

or

Tour #2
Florence Meijer
4990 Houston Road
6:30 – 8:30 p.m., Thursday, October 25, 2018

The tours will be led by a certified diabetes educator and/or a registered dietitian.

Participants will stroll through the supermarket while learning about label reading, carbohydrate counting, and pharmacy resources. They also will receive a reusable shopping bag filled with information and healthy food samples.

Space is limited. Registration is required.

Participants should meet in the café area of the store, located near the produce department.
