The Florence Freedom belted five home runs Thursday night and completed a three-game sweep of the River City Rascals with a 9-2 victory at UC Health Stadium.

Skyler Ewing hit a pair of homers and drove in three runs, while teammate Jordan Brower launched two solo homers. Ewing went 2-for-3 and scored three times for Florence, which built an 8-0 lead after five innings and coasted to the sweep.

Keivan Berges also homered for the Freedom, a two-run shot in the third inning. It was the 12th homer of the season for Berges. Ewing has now hit 13 homers in 2018, while Brower — who went 3-for-4 and scored twice — has homered seven times this season.

Chuck Weaver went seven innings and allowed just one earned run to pick up the win. Weaver also struck out four batters.

Caleb Lopes went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles. The Freedom pounded out 13 hits, while the Rascals could manage only six hits.

Florence hits the road for Evansville on Friday, when the Freedom will take on the Otters at 7:35 p.m.
