Boone County Schools innovation — a video look at Personalizing Learning at Cooper High School

Boone County Schools strive for excellence and as a distinguished district of innovation works to continuously improve and grow alongside the students.

Leadership and staff believe that personalizing learning for every student is essential for allowing them to be the most successful they can be.

Although all share the same goals for the end of that course or grade level, providing students opportunities to drive their own learning by designing learning experiences with individual learner readiness, strengths, needs, and interests in mind will increase student engagement and student achievement.

Learners, in collaboration with their instructors, are active participants in setting goals, planning learning paths, tracking progress and determining how learning will be demonstrated. Within any given time, learning objectives, content, methods, and pacing are likely to vary from learner to learner as they pursue proficiency relative to established standards.
