Deadline near for nominations for Holmes High School Hall of Distinction, Outstanding Young Alum


Holmes High School has an outstanding history of students who have made significant differences in their communities. It honors its alumni with the Holmes Hall of Distinction and the Holmes Outstanding Young Alumnus awards.

The Hall of Distinction honors distinguished graduates and friends of Covington Schools in recognition of their achievements and contributions to society. The hall was founded to recognize the history of Holmes High School and its continuing impact on the community.

Last year’s young alumnus award winner, Dr. Ryan Fischer.

The Outstanding Young Alumnus Award honors Holmes graduates who are 35 years and younger who have made outstanding contributions to society.

The deadline for submission is Aug. 3.

Last year, the Covington Education Foundation and the district launched the Hall of Honors – an event that combines the foundation’s Person of the Year and the Hall of Distinction honorees.

Alumni and the entire community come together to benefit future graduates of Holmes High School.

It will take place again on October 10, 6-10 p.m., at the Drees Pavilion.
