Boone County’s sixth Middle School, Ballyshannon, will open in the fall to more than 500 students.
The 110,521-square-foot facility is at 2805 Longbranch Road in Union. It features open, collaborative spaces, an outdoor learning lab, and an amphitheater.
The schools will help reduce overcrowding in the third largest district in the state. Redistricting for the school involved students from Gray, Camp Ernst, Conner, Ockerman and those families have been notified.
