NKY Camps and Activities Fest Returns to Camp Ernst Middle School, still time to sign up

Do you want to prevent hearing “I’m bored” or seeing your kids on devices all summer or even year round?

Visit with many organizations who offer camps or activities for kids from ages PreK through high school at the NKY Camps and Activities Fest.  There will be something for everyone.

Organizations such as Cincinnati Museum Center, Florence Freedom, YMCA Camp Ernst, Full Throttle Indoor Carting and Cincinnati Children’s Theatre to name a few.  There is still plenty of time for organizations to sign up by Wednesday, April 18.

The event is open to the public and families are encouraged to attend.  The event will take place on Friday, April 20 from 5 – 9 pm.  Camp Ernst Middle School is located at 6515 Camp Ernst Road in Burlington, Kentucky.  There will be food vendors available for families to be able to grab something to eat along with organization giveaways at each of their tables.

The event is free for organizations and attendees.  A donation of individual fruit cups or applesauce for GOPantry will be appreciated.

GOPantry helps feed food insecure kids in Boone County through the school year through their GOBag and GOBoxes programs.

Event coordinator, Julia Pile, Boone County Schools Parent Ambassador, explains the reason behind the event.  “I have discovered that there are many opportunities to keep kids engaged all summer long from museums to the parks to local farms, but parents just do not know what all the options are.  This event helps bring parents and organizations together all in one place.  Now that my kids are in middle school, I am having to go through the process again since their interest have changed since elementary school.”
