Celebrate the ‘Run for the Roses’ at the Dinsmore Homestead’s annual Kentucky Derby party

In a matter of days the 144th Run For the Roses aka The Kentucky Derby will take place in Louisville.

The front lawn of the Historic Dinsmore Homestead will transform into the party that has become a Northern Kentucky tradition.

The Historic Dinsmore Homestead continues their tradition with their 15th Derby Day at the Dinsmore.

This is a remarkable celebration, as well as the chief annual fundraiser for Dinsmore Homestead. A tradition in the Bluegrass since its start in 1875, the Kentucky Derby helps us remember our unique state history.  Come celebrate this special event in a setting that evokes the comforts and simplicity of that bygone era.

The Dinsmore Homestead museum fundraiser helps to maintain this unique Northern Kentucky treasure.

Dinsmore Homestead, built in 1842, is not only a local treasure, but a national one as well.  The Homestead houses thousands of historical artifacts and documents that give a unique look into the past as you tour the home in its original state, as if the family still resided there.

What better way to honor Kentucky history and horse racing than by mixing the two in this pristine historic setting where you can relax on the lawn and take pleasure in The 144th Run for the Roses?

Guests will be treated to a superior atmosphere as well as delicious foods, The “Bunches of Bows” ladies hat contest, house tours, silent auction, music, a cash bar complete with mint juleps, and of course, the Kentucky Derby live on our television monitors.

Mark your calendar now for May 5th, 2018 from 3:30pm – 7:00pm, rain or shine.  The cost is $50 per person and reservations are required.  To reserve your seat or table, please call 859-586-6117 or erombach@dinsmorefarm.org
