Lindsey Jaeger (née Kiser) will present a solo exhibition entitled “Reflecting Nature: The Art of Lindsey Jaeger” at the Boone County Public Library Main Branch in Burlington.
Sixteen original acrylic paintings, created from October 2017, will be on display on the second floor of the Boone County Public Library, Main Branch, located at 1786 Burlington Pike, Burlington from March 9 through March 31, 2018.
An opening reception for the public will be held on Friday, March 9 from 6 to 8 p.m.
In this series, Jaeger explores the beauty and complexity of the modern family navigating the pressures of the 21st Century through the depiction of birds’ nests nestled into polished glass vases, bell jars, and other reflective surfaces.
In addition to the series of acrylic paintings, Jaeger will exhibit 30 original scratchboard etchings of Kentucky wildlife and wildflowers on the first floor of the Main Library.
This series of work was created during the January 2017, #30paintingsin30days online challenge, and will first be displayed in the Kentucky Capitol Rotunda in Frankfort on Kentucky Arts Day February 20.
For close to 25 years, Jaeger has enjoyed the detail, light, and drama that may be captured in the unforgiving scratchboard medium.
Jaeger is a visual artist, practicing patent attorney, wife, and mother of two. As an amateur naturalist, she enjoys creating images of wildlife, wildflowers, and landscapes in oil, acrylic, and scratchboard.

In 2016, Jaeger was appointed by Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin to the board of the Kentucky Arts Council. She is an active member of the International Society of Scratchboard Artists and the former two-term president of Cincinnati Intellectual Property Law Association, CincyIP.
