Sullivan University offering grants to prospective students in Northern Kentucky region

The Sullivan University Center for Learning-Northern Kentucky is offering grants to Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati residents to further their college education and career goals.

To qualify for the grants – $300 for undergraduate students and $500 for graduate students on the first classes taken during the 2017-2018 school year – students must register through the Sullivan University Center for Learning-Northern Kentucky in Fort Mitchell. Not all programs are eligible.

“We understand that the initial investment in a college education can be overwhelming,” said Dr. Vicki Berling, executive director of Sullivan University. “So we are implementing a program that provides grants to help local residents make that first step.”

The grants are part of Sullivan University’s mission of improving the region’s workforce and assisting individuals with reaching their career-growth goals, she said.

“We recognize that many students often must balance a full-time job and family commitments with the desire to pursue higher education and these grants can help give them the extra push they need to get into the classroom,” Dr. Berling said.

“Most of our students work hard both in the workplace and in the classroom,” she continued. “Sullivan’s wide variety of career-oriented programs and our flexible online schedule make it possible for anyone to pursue professional-development goals.”

The programs offered by the Sullivan University allow students to study a wide variety of specialized topics. Upon graduation, students are instilled with practical talents and a skillset specifically designed for in-demand jobs around the region.
