Tyson Foods merged with Hillshire Brands in 2014. The company has grown from “humble beginnings” in the back of a truck in the 1930s. They are a leading producer of chicken, beef and pork and make a variety of prepared foods, such as pizza toppings and crusts, tortillas and chips, deli meets, appetizers, soups and sauces — and sell them to retailers and foodservice operators throughout the U.S. and in about 130 countries.
The facility in Claryville employees over 560.
The company earned a Business Impact Award from the Chamber.
