Covington Latin School’s senior Sean Longbrake, 15, scores perfect 36 composite score on ACT

Sean Longbrake, a 15 year old Senior at Covington Latin School, scored a 36 composite score on the ACT, attaining the examination’s highest possible score.

When asked about his score Longbrake said, “I had been working very hard to get my math score up and I am so happy that the hard work paid off.”

Along with this distinction, Longbrake was also recently named as a National Merit Semi-Finalist.

He has also won numerous awards in national Latin competitions.

In addition to his passion and aptitude for academics, Longbrake is involved with a number of Latin School’s extracurricular offerings, including Debate Team, Junior Classical League, and National Honor Society. He is also the President of the Literary Guild and History Club.

As Covington Latin School’s Headmaster Jason Huther put it, “Beyond his formidable intellect and considerable academic achievements, he couldn’t be a more humble, kind-hearted, good-natured student – the kind of quality individual who you can’t help but root for.

“We applaud his spectacular achievement.”
