Conner High School teacher charged with sexual abuse of a 15-year-old student on school grounds


A Conner High School teacher has been arrested amid allegations that he had inappropriate contact and was sexting with a 15-year-old student.

Clinton Bell, 37 of Hebron, has been *charged with Sexual abuse 1st degree, a Class D felony and another Class D felony related to the sexting allegation.

The Boone County Sheriff’s office has released the following statement regarding the incident:

On Friday, October 13, 2017 at approximately 5:00 p.m. a Conner High School teacher was arrested  for the inappropriate contact and texting (sexting) with one of his students, a 15 year old Junior after an investigation revealed the touching took place in an office on the Conner campus located at 3310 Cougar Path in Hebron, Kentucky between February and May of 2017.

Clinton Bell, 37 of the 2,400 block of Oakview Court in Hebron, Kentucky is *charged with Sexual abuse 1st degree, a Class D felony & Unlawful use of electronic means originating or received within the Commonwealth to induce a minor to engage in sexual or other prohibited activities, a Class D felony.

Conner High School administrators cooperated fully with our investigation.  Bell turned himself in to Detective Tracy Watson upon notification she had obtained a warrant for his arrest.  Bell is being held in the Boone County Detention Center in lieu of $100,000 cash bond.
