Gateway Local’s community outreach offers low-cost and free opportunities for classes, workshops

Gateway Community & Technical College expands community engagement opportunities through Gateway Local.

Gateway Local advances the college’s commitment to community outreach and engagement through non-credit professional and personal development programs, gallery exhibits and community partnerships.

“Gateway brings to life the ‘community’ aspect of community college. The campuses serve as hubs for talent development. Here, students and the community gather to discover and realize talent,” said Toni Bloom Mueller, coordinator of Gateway Community Engagement. “Gateway Local was created through conversations and collaborations that identified areas of interest to our community.”

Gateway Local includes happenings in the Gateway Gallery and community education, consisting of low-cost classes and a free workshop series, starting in September.
