The first-place Florence Freedom, presented by Titan Mechanical Solutions, return to UC Health Stadium for a three-game homestand beginning Friday.
Promotions planned for the weekend include:
FRIDAY, AUGUST 4 — “BETTER IN A BOOK” NIGHT AND FIREWORKS (GAME TIME 7:05 PM)
Characters from popular books that were later made into movies will appear on the concourse for photos and autographs. The following local authors will also participate in promoting and talking about their books on the concourse:
- Emerson Shaw, Jessica Strawser, Laura Dewire & Kaileen, Rick Phillips, Tamara Bundy, Sharon Short, Brian Klems, Robert & Lauren Hudson, and Scott Hale
Elite Pyrotechnics will put on a spectacular post-game fireworks show, presented by Arlinghaus Heating and Air Conditioning.
SATURDAY, AUGUST 5 — LUKE PELL APPEARANCE AND LADIES’ NIGHT/DIAMOND HUNT (6:05 PM)
Luke Pell from ABC’s The Bachelorette will appear at the stadium for Ladies’ Night, presented by Motch Jewelers. Fans who purchase special Meet n’ Greet tickets will have the opportunity to meet Luke before the game, get a rose, and autograph and a photo and participate in a Q&A session. There will also be a post-game diamond hunt on the field, where one lucky fan will leave with diamond jewelry thanks to Motch Jewelers.
Also after the game, the Freedom’s Kerry Toyota Rockin’ Saturday series continues with a post-game concert by Jimmy Buffet cover band The Sunburners, presented by Hudy Delight. During the concert, kids 12 and under can participate in a game of kickball on the field, supervised by Freedom interns.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 6 — UK NIGHT AND FAMILY SUNDAY (6:05 PM)
Five members of “The Untouchables” from the 1995-1996 national champion Wildcats basketball team—Derek Anderson, Antoine Walker, Wayne Turner, Anthony Epps and Cameron Mills—will be in attendance for UK Night, presented by Drake’s and Marshall Motors. The occasion will include an interactive Q&A session, as well as autographs and photos for fans who purchase a VIP Meet n’ Greet package. More information is available at FlorenceFreedom.com.
Sunday home games are also Star 93.3 Family Sundays, presented by Heritage Bank. Kids will have the chance to run the bases after the game, and as the kids come off the field, they will be greeted by the entire Freedom team for a post-game autograph session presented by Cornerstone Lillie Insurance.
