Kenton County Judge Knochelmann featured speaker at Covington Business Council Luncheon Thursday


The Covington Business Council has provided the following list of upcoming events and activities.

June Luncheon: Exciting Things for Kenton County with Judge Executive Kris Knochelmann

The development of the 4.5 acre Bavarian Brewery site, the future home of the County Administration remains a major topic of discussion as well as the government and private entities that might eventually make their home there as well.  Judge Knochelmann will update this ongoing situation as well as the status of the scheduled revamp of the County’s public safety radio communications system, set to be complete next year.  He will also provide new information on the County’s battle against heroin. *Join the Greater Cincinnati World Affairs Council for their speaker series featuring Jack Matlock, Ambassador to the Soviet Union. The event is on Wednesday, June 14 at 5pm. It is $25 for members, $35 for non-members and $10 for students. RSVP here  .

*Kenton County Hosts Final Open House for Pre-Design Process for New Kenton County Administration Building. The open House will take place June 21, 4pm-6pm at Covignton Latin.

*Aviatra Accelorators is hosting Angel Investing for Women 101. The event is on June 10, 9am-2:30pm at Union Hall/Citrifuse. Click here for more information or to register.

*The UpTech 6 application deadline is just around the corner on June 11th. In years past, some of their best applicants came from referrals. If you know any data-driven startups that might be a great fit for UpTech 6, they would love to meet them. To learn about the program and where to submit your application, visit their website.

*Husch Blackwell attorneys will offer a review of President Trump’s import policy agenda for 2017, which will affect U.S. businesses throughout the economy. Steel products and aluminum products are among the first to be targeted for action. The seminar will take place on June 6, 12pm-1pm. Click here to register.

*CBC Connects: The group meets every Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Gateway Community and Technical College Center for Technology, Innovation and Enterprise located at 516 Madison Avenue.  Each meeting includes an exercise helping you to develop business skills.
