Freedom come home to UC Health Stadium Thursday, busy weekend of fan-friendly activities scheduled


The Florence Freedom, presented by Titan Mechanical Solutions, return home to UC Health Stadium this weekend to take on the Evansville Otters.

As of Monday, the Freedom sit at 11-4 and in first place in the Frontier League West division.

This weekend also boasts several unique and fun filled promotions for the whole family, including Superhero Night: Girl Power, a Harry Potter inspired Fantastic Feasts Night, and Bark in the Park: Paw Patrol Edition.

June 2: Superhero Night: Girl Power & Fireworks Friday – Game time 7:05pm, Gates open 6:05pm

If you’re a superhero fan, especially female superheroes, this night is for you.  Wonder Woman, Black Widow, Supergirl and more will be on the concourse taking pictures with fans courtesy of A Characteristic Attitude. The first 800 kids through the gates will receive their own cape/drawstring backpack, available in pink and black, courtesy of Aire Serv Heating & Air Conditioning.

After the game, Elite Pyrotechnics lights up the sky with an amazing fireworks show, presented Arlinghaus Heating and Air.

June 3: Fantastic Feasts & Rockin’ Saturday – Game time 6:05pm, Gates open 5:05pm

Harry Potter and Fantastic Beast fans won’t want to miss this Saturday night when the Freedom host Fantastic Feasts Night at the ballpark. Harry Potter inspired characters will serve fans movie inspired meals that include giant turkey legs, pumpkin pasties, roasted corn on the cob and butter beer (non-alcoholic). For over 21 fans, Honey Grail Mead will be served on the concourse.

After the game local favorite 24/7 performs a concert live on the Cornerstone Lillie Insurance concourse bandstand. Rockin’ Saturdays are presented by Kerry Toyota. Kids 12 and under can also play kickball on the field post-game.

June 4: Bark in the Park: Paw Patrol Edition & Family Sunday – Game time 6:05pm, Gates open 5:05pm

Bring your dogs to the ballpark this Sunday for Bark in the Park: Paw Patrol Edition presented by Allie’s Walkabout.  Heritage Bank Family Sundays presented by Star 93.3 also include kids getting to run the bases and an entire team autograph session post-game.

Dog promotions on Sunday include pre-game dog races, a top trick contest, doggie dress up contest and numerous dog vendors with goodies for your four legged friends on the concourse. Bring your dog and enjoy $1 hot dogs (2 per purchase) at the concession stands.

Also, kids will love photo opportunities with TV cartoon rescue dogs Chase and Skye.
