If you’ve had a mentor who’s made a positive impact on the way you run your small business, American Dreamers wants to hear about it.

The American Dreamers Talk Radio show, which interviews local small business CEOs and entrepreneurs on 55KRC (550AM), celebrates its fifth anniversary on air this year. As part of its celebration, it will host its first “Mentor Recognition Awards,” which is open to all small business owners in the greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area.
“The award is our way to thank listeners for the success of the show by recognizing the great mentors who have helped local entrepreneurs be successful and create jobs,” said Sun Ho Donovan, host and co-founder of American Dreamers Talk Radio show. “The award recipient and nominating small business owner will receive a luxury cruise on the Ohio River, along with 10 friends or family members, to celebrate the occasion.”
American Dreamers’ goal is to help small businesses and entrepreneurs succeed, said Donovan. Each week American Dreamers tells a new story.
“It’s a forum for local small businesses to connect to others in the amazing entrepreneurial community we have in this region,” said Tom Tasset, American Dreamers host and co-founder. “We celebrate with our listeners how other CEOs have succeeded. The show also highlights other businesses, consultants and experts who support entrepreneurs and help them take the next steps to live out their American Dreams.”
Small business owners and entrepreneurs can nominate their most influential mentor or supporter before July 31 at AmericanDreamers.biz/awards. There is no cost to nominate or participate in the awards.
“Just go online, tell us who you are nominating and how that person’s mentoring has made an impact on you, your business and the community. A selection panel will announce a winner for an awards ceremony in September,” said Robynn Anton, American Dreamers host.
American Dreamers airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on 550 AM. Radio hosts include Tasset, president of HTT Insurance Agency, Inc.; Donovan, freelance movie producer; and Anton, owner of RGA Creative.com, a marketing agency.
The broadcasts are archived and available as podcasts on AmericanDreamers.biz. 55KRC estimates that 5,000 listeners on average tune in on air or online each week to listen to the show. More than 20,000 listeners have downloaded the 200+ podcasts available on the American Dreamers website.
