With over 1000 families across Northern Kentucky school districts identified as homeless and many others in need of basic essentials, the NKY Chamber Foundation has organized a community wide hygiene drive initiative to benefit local schools.
In an effort to help address some of the needs that schools throughout our region are facing the NKY Chamber and NKY Chamber Foundation have partnered with regional family resource coordinators in order to help identify needs, involve local businesses and help to organize and distribute products to family resource coordinators across Northern Kentucky.
Community and business partners such as Anthem, Staffmark, General Cable, L’oreal, TANK, and over a dozen other organizations from the region have been eager to step up and support the hygiene drive in any way they can. Donations as large as 1000 bottles of shampoo and conditioner, to volunteering their time and money to fill their grocery carts with needed merchandise.
“We have been overwhelmed by the response from our community,” said Tiffany Osborne, Vice President of Workforce at the NKY Chamber Foundation. “What started as a small project has turned into a regional effort to provide these products to a growing number of homeless here in Northern Kentucky. It has been great to see businesses getting involved, organizing their own collections, and doing whatever they can to serve these families.”
Are you interested in getting involved or hosting a hygiene drive at your office or donating to support this cause? Deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, dental hygiene products, feminine hygiene products, hand sanitizer, or cash donations are all accepted.

Drop-offs may be made in person at the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, 300 Buttermilk Pike, Suite 330, Fort Mitchell, KY 41017. A Northern Kentucky Chamber representative will also be happy to pick up donated items from any site.
Items will be disbursed to school districts on December 9th.
