Hope 4 Boone County to hold Heroin Town Hall meeting at Crossroads Church in Florence Monday

Hope 4 Boone County has scheduled a Heroin Town Hall meeting for Monday, April 25 at Crossroads Church in Florence.

HOPE4 BC logoA panel of experts, including medical professionals, law enforcement, behavioral health professionals and family members of addicts, will be on hand to discuss the ongoing problem of addiction in the region.

Featured speakers include Kay Kramer, a registered nurse who will provide an overview of the heroin addiction epidemic, Adam Argullin, Florence Police – D.A.R.E. officer and Dr. Theresa Koeller of St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Florence City Councilman Duane Froelicher will be the moderator.

Hope 4 Boone County is a community coalition that focuses specifically on eliminating heroin use and opioid painkiller abuse among the children of Boone County. The group works with local businesses, government agencies, faith-based organizations, law Enforcement and schools, to raise awareness and to provide Information to help prevent abuse.

The program begins at 7 p.m. and includes parent testimonials and a question-and-answer session.

Crossroads Church is located at 828 Heights Boulevard, off of Mall Road, in Florence. The meeting is open to the public.

Hope 4 Boone County meets on the first Monday of every month at the Boone County Board of Education building from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, click here
