Michael “Mike” H. Schoettelkotte, 69 of Edgewood, Kentucky passed away at home on November 25, 2017.

Mike was born June 10, 1948 in Cincinnati, OH to Harry Joseph Schoettelkotte and Ellen Hack Schoettelkotte.

Mike was a graduate of McNicholas High School, Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1972 received his BS in Community Planning from the University of Cincinnati College of Design Architecture and Art School of Planning. Mike was the Land Development Manager for the Drees Company from 1978 to present. He was “Builder of the Year” with the Northern Kentucky Homebuilders Association in 2014, President of the Prestwicke/Canterbury Homeowners’ Association, Edgewood, KY, Board member of the Woodside Park Condominium Association and Land Development Council with the Northern Kentucky Homebuilders Association, Committee Member of the State and Local Government Committee of the Northern Kentucky Homebuilders Association, and Past President of the Ohio Valley Development Council of Greater Cincinnati. Mike was a member of St. Pius X Church, Edgewood, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Harry Joseph Schoettelkotte, and Brother, Stephen Schoettelkotte.

Mike is survived by his Wife, Joan (nee Hallbach) Schoettelkotte, Mother, Ellen Jane (nee Hack) Schoettelkotte, Brother, William (Marsha) Schoettelkotte, Sister, Lynda (Bob) Dann, Sister, Sandee (Gary) Kurtz, and Sister-in-law, Jolene Esz, also many nieces and nephews.

Private Mass of Christian Burial for the immediate family will be held 10:30 am Friday, December 1, 2017, at St. Pius X Church, 348 Dudley Rd., Edgewood, Kentucky, with Rev. Michael Hennigen, officiating.

Burial will take place in St. Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas, Kentucky.

Memorials are suggested to the St. Elizabeth Hospice where his wife is a volunteer, 483 South Loop Rd., Edgewood, KY 41017.
